Animal behavior, behavioral syndromes and plasticity, sensory ecology, conservation biology

I am a PhD student and behavioral ecologist in the Dochtermann Lab. I am broadly interested in behavioral syndromes, behavioral plasticity and sensory ecology. In particular, I would like to focus on social behavior and indirect genetic effects in both crickets and fishes. I have a masters with Major in Biology from IISER Mohali, India. Before joining the lab, I taught biology at different levels for several years. I hope to pursue my career towards ecology and conservation. I enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, trekking and scuba diving.

For my Masters, I worked on the foraging behavior of wild zebrafish. For my PhD, I would like to focus on social behavior and indirect genetic effects in both crickets and fishes.
