2025 INFORMS Stakeholder Engagement Data Challenge

We are thrilled to celebrate the success of our students, Rajesh Saha, Faria Farzana, and Ayman Sajjad Akash, who earned a top honor at the 2025 INFORMS Stakeholder Engagement Data Challenge. The team secured the Second Runner-up position, a significant achievement in a highly competitive national event.
Hosted by INFORMS, the leading international society for professionals in operations research and analytics, this competition challenges the brightest young minds to tackle complex, real-world data problems. Our team’s project, titled “From Data to Direction: A Strategic Roadmap for Enhancing INFORMS Stakeholder Engagement,” stood out for its innovative approach. At the core of their analysis, the team developed predictive models to identify the most critical factors driving member satisfaction. By pinpointing what truly matters to different segments of the INFORMS community, from students to seasoned professionals, their model provides a clear guide for making targeted improvements. This data-driven foundation helped them turn raw data into practical strategies, giving a clear, insightful plan to better serve the organization's members.
This achievement highlights their dedication and skill in translating classroom theory into solutions for complex, real-world problems. We are very proud to have them as representatives of our university. Excellent work!
