John Ulland named Nursery Technician

The NDSU-North Dakota Forest Service welcomes John Ulland as the new Nursery Technician at Towner State Nursery. In this role, he will assist with all essential tree production activities with a special emphasis on inventories, record keeping, and ordering supplies. He will also assist with greenhouse operations, packaging activities, and monitoring stock quantities and quality.

John brings a unique set of skills and experience through his previous work as Assistant Landscape Manager at Lowe's Garden Center of Minot. The North Dakota Forest Service is happy to welcome him as part of the team. John can be reached at john.ulland@ndsu.edu or 701-537-5636.

The Towner State Nursery is a conservation nursery just north of Towner, ND that supports tree planting efforts in North Dakota and the surrounding region. The North Dakota Forest Service has operated the 160-acre facility since 1951, annually producing one million conservation seedlings. The trees are produced to meet the needs of customers, and are used primarily in shelterbelts, living snow fences, wildlife block plantings, and other conservation plantings.
