11 fun things to do in Fargo-Moorhead this summer
There are a ton of great things to do in F-M this summer.

Whether you’re a longtime local or new to the Fargo-Moorhead area, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy summer across the metro. From street fairs to outdoor concerts and riverfront adventures, the F-M community offers something for everyone.
Here are 11 fun things to do this summer in Fargo-Moorhead:

1. Stroll through the Red River Market
Held Saturdays in Broadway Square from July 13 to late September, the Red River Market features local food vendors, produce, art, live music and family activities. It’s one of the region’s most popular summer events.

2. Catch a Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks game
Experience America’s pastime at Newman Outdoor Field. The RedHawks, part of the American Association of Professional Baseball, offer affordable tickets, fireworks nights and plenty of ballpark snacks.

3. Explore the outdoors at Lindenwood Park
Lindenwood is one of the area’s largest and most scenic parks, with bike rentals, campgrounds, a playground, picnic shelters and access to riverfront trails.

4. Visit the Fargo Street Fair
Downtown Fargo’s largest event of the summer returns July 18–20. Browse hundreds of vendors offering crafts, art, clothing and delicious food.

5. Enjoy live music at Bluestem Amphitheater
Located in Moorhead, this outdoor venue hosts concerts all summer long, featuring artists across genres. Pack a blanket and enjoy music under the stars.

6. Go kayaking or canoeing on the Red River
Rent a kayak, canoe or paddleboard and take in a unique view of the region from the water. Rentals are available through local outfitters like Moorhead Parks and Recreation.

7. Attend the Downtown Fargo Night Bazaar
These evening markets feature street food, art and entertainment. Dates vary, so check local listings for upcoming events.

8. Cool off at the Fargo or Moorhead aquatic centers
Public pools and splash pads are open daily during the summer and offer slides, lazy rivers and swimming lessons for all ages.

9. Discover local history at Bonanzaville
Located in West Fargo, Bonanzaville is a pioneer village and museum with 40 historic buildings, antique tractors and immersive exhibits.

10. Bike the Fargo-Moorhead trail system
With over 100 miles of connected paths, Fargo-Moorhead is one of the most bike-friendly areas in the Upper Midwest. Grab your bike and explore the scenic routes.

11. Check out the Fargo Food Truck Festival
Held Aug. 16–18 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, the festival features dozens of food trucks, lawn games and live music.
