On Wednesday, June 24, StartupBREW Fargo will hold its weekly gathering at Broadway Square in downtown Fargo.

StartupBREW is a weekly networking event for entrepreneurs, innovators, creatives and community members to share and learn more about the entrepreneurial community.

North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong will introduce the speakers for the morning. The event will feature local entrepreneur and NDSU alumnus Ron Bergan, founder of Tic Stack Toe, and investor Brooks Burgum, founder of LongWater.

Bergan will share more about developing Tic Stack Toe, a modern twist on tic-tac-toe that combines strategy, stacking and portability into a game designed for all ages. Bergan used 3D printing technology to bring the product to life and launch it in local retail stores across the region.

Burgum will share more about his entrepreneurial journey, the lessons he’s learned through building products and businesses and why creativity and innovation don’t have an age limit. Burgum co-founded LongWater alongside Jordan Bastable in 2009. The two built the private equity firm into a premier lower-middle market private markets investor with offices in Fargo, Dallas and St. Louis. In June of 2026, Longwater announced another round of funding closed, bringing the total capital under its management to over $1 billion.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. with Coffee Club, when attendees can mingle and connect with other community members, business owners, and entrepreneurs. The program runs from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
