NDSU named a 2026–27 College of Distinction for second consecutive year

North Dakota State University has once again been named a College of Distinction for the 2026–2027 academic year, marking its second consecutive year earning the honor and reinforcing its commitment to delivering a high-impact, student-centered educational experience.

In addition to earning the overall College of Distinction recognition, NDSU received specialized distinctions in business, education, engineering, career development, military support and international student engagement—the same areas recognized last year.

New this year, NDSU also earned a transfer recognition, highlighting the university’s strong support for transfer students through clear credit pathways, dedicated advising and a seamless transition into academic programs.

“Earning College of Distinction recognition for a second consecutive year affirms the strength and consistency of the NDSU student experience,” said Seinquis Leinen, senior director of strategic enrollment management. “This recognition showcases our strong commitment to ensuring every student, whether they begin their journey here or transfer in, has the opportunity to succeed.”
