Creating a culture of care through Coordinated Care

NDSU is committed to fostering a culture of care through a coordinated approach that ensures every student feels seen, supported, and connected. This approach aligns campus partners, resources, and services to deliver timely, holistic, and seamless support as students navigate the challenges of college life.
“Providing care by listening to students, answering questions and directing them to helpful resources is a responsibility of all faculty and staff across campus. They may not be the person to solve the problem, but they can get the student to the person/people that can.” said Jessie Bauer, the assistant director of Student Success Initiatives.
There is a newly created toolkit on the NDSU Knowledge Base that helps faculty and staff identify the appropriate campus service for students who may need additional support. Whether a student has questions about academics, finances, well-being or other challenges, the website provides guidance on where to direct them so they can receive the help they need.
“As a student focused university, creating a culture of care is vital to providing consistent and holistic support for their best chance at being successful during their time at NDSU,” Bauer added.
