CHS Foundation Support Enhances ACE Tutoring Space at NDSU
North Dakota State University is completing renovations to its Academic Collegiate Enhancement (ACE) tutoring space thanks to support from the CHS Foundation, creating an updated environment for students seeking academic support and tutoring services.
The project includes new carpet, paint, lighting, furniture, artwork and a custom mural designed to create a welcoming and functional space for students.
The updated space is intended to provide students with an environment that supports learning, collaboration and academic success.
“Students are more likely to engage with tutoring and academic support services when they feel welcomed and comfortable in the space,” said Angela Seewald-Marquardt, director of Student Success Programs. “This renovation creates an environment that encourages connection, collaboration and learning. We are grateful to the CHS Foundation for helping us provide a space that reflects the quality of support our students receive and supports their academic success.”
The ACE program provides tutoring, peer mentoring, quiet study space and other academic support resources for NDSU students. ACE serves hundreds of students each semester and offers support across more than 50 courses. The renovated space will help students access those services in an environment designed to support both individual study and collaborative learning.
NDSU will host an ACE Open House from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, in the lower level of the West Dinner Center, 1500 15th Ave. N, Fargo, North Dakota, to introduce new and returning students to available services and showcase the renovated space. The event is open to all members of the campus community.
