Boo! at NDSU community carnival and trick-or-treating event returns

Cater Hall on NDSU's campus.

Boo! at NDSU, a family-friendly community carnival and trick-or-treating event, will welcome the public to campus on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for Halloween activities.

NDSU student organizations and groups will host booths throughout Cater Hall where children can participate in Halloween games, crafts and activities. Additionally, four residence halls, Cater, Pavek, Sevrinson and Thompson will be open for trick-or-treating.

The event is free and open to the public with activities geared toward children ages 10 and under, but all ages are welcome. Children are encouraged to come in costumes and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

“Boo! at NDSU is a great opportunity for families to enjoy a fun, safe trick-or-treating and carnival experience while connecting with the NDSU community,” said Jen Kacere, assistant director for leadership development in the NDSU Department of Residence Life. “It also gives children a glimpse into college life and the experiences of our students, helping build connections between the campus and the Fargo-Moorhead community.”

Trick-or-treating maps will be available in the lobby of each participating hall. Participating rooms will have a pumpkin sign on their door to show they are handing out candy.
