NDSU community comes together for record-building Giving Day

Alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and supporters came together on Oct. 27 to make a difference during NDSU Giving Day. Preliminary results show $1,930,846 through 1,723 donors in support of North Dakota State University.
The 24-hour event united the Bison community around a shared commitment to student success, academic excellence, research, athletics, and programs across campus. Gifts were directed to a wide range of colleges, departments, scholarships, student organizations, and university initiatives that help provide opportunities for students.
"Giving Day is a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when the NDSU community comes together," said Sara Wald, vice president of trustee, alumni, and donor relations at the NDSU Foundation. "We're grateful to every donor, advocate, volunteer, faculty and staff member, and campus partner who helped make this year's Giving Day a success. Every gift represents someone choosing to invest in NDSU and the opportunities for students."
The support generated through Giving Day will help fund scholarships that reduce financial barriers for students, strengthen academic and research programs, enhance student experiences, and provide resources that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
"Our supporters continue to invest in the future of NDSU and the students we serve," said NDSU President Marshall Stewart. "The generosity displayed on Giving Day will have a lasting impact on scholarships, learning experiences, research opportunities, and programs that make NDSU distinctive. We are deeply grateful for everyone who was a part of this effort."
This year's Giving Day also highlighted the power of participation. While the dollars raised will provide critical support across campus, organizers emphasized that each donor represents another individual choosing to invest in the future of NDSU.
"Giving Day is about more than fundraising," Wald said. "It's about building a culture of philanthropy and demonstrating the collective impact of thousands of people coming together to support NDSU. Every donor, every gift and every shared message helps strengthen the future of our university."
The NDSU Foundation thanks everyone who gave, shared, advocated and helped spread the word throughout the campaign.
