College of Engineering staff members awarded

Two staff members have been honored for their contributions to the success of the NDSU College of Engineering.
Kristin Boll, business coordinator in the College of Engineering, was named a 2026 Outstanding Staff Award winner for being personable, hardworking and a fantastic collaborator.
Colleagues say Boll has been instrumental in the implementation of new processes and updating processes to create greater efficiencies. She’s known as the go to for special projects and other duties as assigned.
In addition to modernizing time slip approvals, Boll was heavily involved with the revamping of the Engineering Activity Agreement process and streamlining the Recharge Center’s financial processes.
The College of Engineering’s other 2026 Outstanding Staff Award went to Angela Gross, outreach coordinator in the College of Engineering.
Gross is being honored for dedication and commitment to enhancing the quality and scope of the College of Engineering’s K-12 STEM outreach programming.
She has been instrumental in expanding existing outreach programming, developing new opportunities like the Explore Engineering high school camp, leading the college’s participation in ND Governor’s School, and building relationships with key external partners.
Overall, Gross’s work reaches thousands of students every year and is helping the college build a strong pipeline of future students.
Boll and Gross will be honored at the College of Engineering’s Scholarship and Awards Reception on Nov. 5.
