Homecoming 2023 schedule set

Join the fun and excitement of NDSU Homecoming 2023, scheduled Sept. 25 through Sept. 30. NDSU students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited and encouraged to participate in activities, including Friday’s parade and Bison Bash.

“When we think of Homecoming we often think of alumni coming back to visit a place that they feel connected to, but the truth of the matter is that Homecoming starts with current students, faculty and staff,” said Lisa Samuelson, homecoming committee co-chair and director of the NDSU Student Activities Office. “It is the experiences that you have as a student with your fellow students or faculty or staff members that build a sense of community and belonging. Our hope is to provide opportunities that help students, faculty and staff develop those connections while at NDSU which then fuel that drive to come back after graduation. At the end of the day, all current students are future alumni.”

The Homecoming Parade is returning to NDSU’s campus for the first time in 11 years. The parade route begins on the corner of University Dr. and 17th Ave. N., heading south before turning west on 12th Ave. N. Occurring in tandem with the parade is the Bison Bash at Churchill Field, featuring inflatables, a DJ and activities for the campus and community.

“We are so excited to bring the NDSU Parade back to campus this year. Downtown Fargo has been a fantastic host to the parade for the past decade, but we have a lot of great things happening on campus and we are looking forward to bringing our alumni and the community back to NDSU,” said Nicole Holden, homecoming committee co-chair and NDSU Foundation senior director of events and programs. “For those who spent time at NDSU, I encourage you to take some time during Homecoming week to retrace your steps through campus. It’s an exciting way to reflect on the past while appreciating how campus has transformed over the years. We hope everyone will join us for this year’s homecoming celebrations.”
