NDSU alumnae named to Prairie Business Top 25 Women in Business

Five NDSU alumnae have been named to the 2026 Prairie Business Top 25 Women in Business list, which recognizes the depth of experience and knowledge each honoree brings to their workplace and industry, highlighting strong leadership and community service.

This year’s honorees include Melissa Marshall, Lindsay Schroeder, Allison Weckman, Stacie Heiden and Alyssa Teubner. NDSU’s representation reflects the university’s strong record of preparing graduates who lead, innovate and strengthen their communities.

Marshall, who earned a political science degree from NDSU, is the owner of Dale Carnegie of North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota located in West Fargo. She is recognized for her combination of strategic acumen, authentic vulnerability and relentless dedication to developing people and strengthening systems throughout her more than 20-year career trajectory.

Schroeder, a graduate of NDSU’s electrical engineering program, is recognized for her successful leadership throughout her 20-year career at Marvin, where she spearheaded the development and launch of Marvin Connected Home in early 2024, which earned a Fast Company Innovation by Design award. She is currently the Vice President of Strategy Execution with Marvin.

Weckman, graduated from NDSU in 2007 with a degree in mass communications. She is the business and operations manager at the NSF AgTech Engine in North Dakota, and is recognized for her leadership style that centers on humility and supporting people without being asked. In her role she has oversaw several complex operations, partnerships and strategy development, positioning the region as a leader in addressing food access challenges and furthering her role in the underrepresented field of STEM.

Heiden, who graduated with an accounting degree in 1987, recently started in her new role as the vice president of integration at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota. She's recognized for her commitment to improving health care and her purpose-driven leadership through extensive community and nonprofit service.

Teubner, who earned a bachelor’s degree in management communication and a Doctor of Education in organizational learning and leadership from NDSU, is the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships at NDeavor Barry D. Batcheller Tech Park. She is recognized for her blend of strategic thinking, relationship-building and execution, her servant leadership style that encompasses authenticity, generosity, and vision, as well as her commitment to community-centered progress.
