NDSU alumni named to Prairie Business 40 Under 40

The annual program highlights emerging leaders shaping the future of business, education, engineering and public service.

Five NDSU alumni have been named to the 2025 Prairie Business 40 Under 40 list, which recognizes young professionals who are making significant contributions in their industries and communities across the region.

This year’s NDSU honorees include Laura Bowles, Sarah Crossingham, Bret Kinzler, Kelby Laxdal and Ty Pritchard. Each is recognized for leadership, career excellence and service within North Dakota and beyond.

Bowles, a graduate of NDSU’s landscape architecture program, is recognized for her leadership in designing resilient and community-focused outdoor spaces. Based in Fargo, she applies her design training to projects that enhance quality of life and promote sustainable land use. Bowles is known for her collaborative approach and growing influence in regional design work.

Crossingham, who earned her degree in educational leadership from NDSU, serves the Dickinson community through her work in K–12 education. She is recognized for advancing student success, strengthening school operations and supporting educators. Her leadership reflects her commitment to helping students thrive and ensuring schools remain responsive to community needs.

Kinzler, an NDSU business administration alum, is honored for his contributions to business development and organizational growth in the West Fargo area. Known for his strategic mindset and ability to build strong professional relationships, Kinzler brings practical expertise to his industry and supports projects that strengthen regional economic vitality.

Laxdal, a civil engineering graduate from NDSU, works in Thompson and is recognized for advancing infrastructure solutions that support safe and efficient community development. His work demonstrates technical skill, problem-solving and a commitment to improving transportation and construction systems across North Dakota.

Pritchard, who studied environmental design at NDSU, is distinguished for his contributions to sustainable design and community planning in Fargo. His work focuses on integrating environmental principles into functional spaces and helping communities balance growth with environmental stewardship.
