NDSU athlete honored for community service
Logan Kopp is the 10th NDSU player to earn the recognition, which highlights players and coaches for their extraordinary commitment to serving others.

NDSU linebacker Logan Kopp has been named to the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, one of college football’s most prestigious honors for community service.
Kopp is one of 11 student-athletes chosen from the Football Championship Subdivision, Division II, Division III and NAIA levels. He is the 10th NDSU player to earn the recognition, which highlights players and coaches for their extraordinary commitment to serving others.
A senior mechanical engineering major from St. Louis, Missouri, Kopp is a leader with Fellowship of Christian Athletes at NDSU and has volunteered with numerous organizations, including Night to Shine, Feed My Starving Children, the Kiwanis Pancake Karnival, Able Games, TNT Kids Fitness, Royal Family Kids Camp and local elementary schools. He has also participated in outreach at the Roger Maris Cancer Center and the Fargo VA hospital.
On the field, Kopp is a two-time All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team selection. He led the Bison with 73 tackles and three interceptions last season, while adding 8.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. Through three games this year, he ranks second on the team with 14 tackles, including 2.5 for loss, along with one sack, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery. NDSU is 3-0 heading into its conference opener Sept. 27 against South Dakota.
The Good Works Team, announced Friday by Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association, recognized 22 players and one head coach nationwide. Oklahoma’s Brent Venables was named the honorary head coach.
