NDSU community steps up for Giving Day
Thousands of alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of NDSU contributed during the campaign, which featured matching challenges, spotlight hours and stories from across the university community.

NDSU’s 10th annual Giving Day raised a record $2.9 million, more than doubling the NDSU Foundation’s original goal of $1.25 million and marking a decade of growing support for students, faculty and programs across campus.
The two-day, online fundraising event, held Oct. 14–15, celebrated 1,890 minutes of giving, a nod to the university’s founding year. Thousands of alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of NDSU contributed during the campaign, which featured matching challenges, spotlight hours and stories from across the university community.
Funds raised during the campaign will support scholarships, research initiatives and programs that directly enhance the student experience. Contributions also help fund hands-on learning opportunities, new technologies and outreach programs that strengthen NDSU’s land-grant mission to serve the state of North Dakota and beyond.
Since its launch in 2016, Giving Day has become one of NDSU’s most visible traditions, rallying donors from all 50 states and several countries. Over the past decade, the event has raised millions of dollars for the university, allowing students to access life-changing scholarships, faculty to pursue groundbreaking research, and colleges to expand resources that prepare graduates for success in high-demand fields.
The 10th anniversary campaign featured stories of impact from every corner of campus, from engineering and agriculture to health professions, arts, business and athletics, showcasing how donor support drives discovery, innovation and opportunity.
NDSU’s continued success on Giving Day highlights its vision for the future: to lead on the horizon of change in agriculture, engineering, health professions and emerging fields such as artificial intelligence.
