For Pramita Sen, graduating from NDSU with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2009 was more than earning a diploma, it was a launchpad for a career built on creativity, strategy and making a difference.

Originally from Kolkata, India, Pramita began her U.S. college journey at another North Dakota college, but soon realized she was looking for something bigger. She transferred to NDSU in 2006 and quickly found her place in the College of Business.

“NDSU has my heart forever,” she says. “It gave me friendships, mentors, and opportunities that shaped my leadership and networking skills.”

Her time at NDSU was full of involvement and impact. She was in student government, participated in leadership summits, joined homecoming festivities and cheered on the Bison as they rose through the athletic divisions.

“Everyone was so welcoming, which is the Midwest in general,” she recalls. “Even the smallest courtesies made an impact, and I carry those lessons with me today.”

Now an entrepreneur, Pramita is the founder and principal strategist of WeYou Partners, a brand consulting firm specializing in helping boutique and growing law firms stand out in a competitive market.

Recently, Pramita launched her second venture, Quatro Hive, which is a media platform aiming to build a community of industry experts and bridge the gap between law, policy, technology and innovation. As part of community engagement, she also founded W.A.L.You, a networking platform for senior women leaders in the legal industry. Her work focuses on creating innovative branding strategies, driving measurable growth, and mentoring the next generation of marketing professionals.

Looking back, she credits NDSU for preparing her to thrive.

“The College of Business taught me how to network, how to present myself and how to approach opportunities with confidence,” she said. “My professors brought real-world experience to the classroom, and those lessons still influence my work today.”

Her advice to students and alums is to follow their passion and stay practical. She said balance, creativity and discipline keep work high-quality and sustainable. And she says people should never stop learning, no matter where your path leads.

From Fargo to the global stage, Pramita’s journey is proof that the connections, skills and experiences gained at NDSU can take you anywhere.
