NDSU Performing Arts has busy December planned
With offerings ranging from classical masterworks to new theatre productions, NDSU’s December calendar highlights the depth of talent across campus and offers the community a wide range of performances to enjoy throughout the holiday season.

December is packed with performances across NDSU’s Division of Performing Arts, with choral, theatre and instrumental ensembles presenting some of the season’s most anticipated events.
All five NDSU choirs will join a Baroque orchestra for the annual performance of Handel’s Messiah at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4–6 at First Lutheran Church in Fargo. The concert, conducted by Director of Choral Activities Dwight Jilek, features Old and New Testament texts set to one of the most enduring works in Western music, first performed in 1742.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students, and free for NDSU students. Tickets may be purchased at ndsu.showare.com or by calling 701-231-7969.
Theatre NDSU premieres Glory, a new play by Tracey Power, on Dec. 4. Performances run Dec. 4–6 and 11–13 in Askanase Auditorium.
The production tells the story of the Preston Rivulettes, one of Canada’s most iconic women’s hockey teams. Set during the Great Depression and infused with jazz-age music and dance, the show follows four women who helped change the landscape of women’s sports. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and non-NDSU students, and free for NDSU students.
