Amy Gore, an assistant professor of English at NDSU, has been invited by the Grolier Club to give a lecture on her forthcoming monograph, “Book Anatomy: Body Politics and the Materiality of Indigenous Book History.”

Founded in 1884 and based in Manhattan, NYC, the Grolier Club is one of the most prestigious rare book collectors in the world.

Gore’s monograph, with the University of Massachusetts Press in October 2023, theorizes the material connection between books and bodies, and brings Indigenous book history more firmly into conversations with mainstream narratives about American book history.
