NDSU’s Office of Admission recently honored several local educators during its annual Counselor Showcase and Distinguished Education Partner Reception on Nov. 6 and 7.

The two-day event gives counselors and educators an inside look at NDSU’s academic programs, student life and admissions process. It also recognizes recipients of the Distinguished Education Partner Award, which honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to helping students pursue higher education.

This year’s honorees are:

  • Amanda Hayes, pathway student success specialist at North Dakota State College of Science in Fargo.
  • Mitchell Reynolds, college counselor at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul.
  • Haley Lautt, counselor at Wyndmere Public School in Wyndmere, North Dakota.
  • Crystal Smith, P.E., engineering faculty and program coordinator at Minnesota North College in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

“Every year we love having the opportunity to showcase NDSU to our fantastic counselor and community partners and are proud to recognize recipients of the Distinguished Education Award for their excellent work,” said Matt Henry, regional recruitment manager for the Office of Admission. “Having strong relationships with these attendees allows us to best serve future NDSU students.”

The Counselor Showcase provides participants with tours, presentations and opportunities to connect directly with NDSU faculty, staff and students.
