The NDSU Research and Technology Park has relaunched as NDeavor Barry D. Batcheller Tech Park, marking a new chapter in advancing collaboration, technology development and economic growth for North Dakota and the nation.

Building on its legacy of startup incubation, university-industry partnerships and workforce development, NDeavor will focus on accelerating dual-use technologies that support national security and create solutions for commercial markets. The rebrand also honors Barry D. Batcheller, a longtime champion of regional technology leadership.

The new identity highlights two primary focus areas: defense and national security, and precision agriculture. NDeavor will continue developing autonomous systems, robotics and multi-domain platforms to enhance defense readiness while applying those capabilities to transform agricultural operations across challenging environments. Its incubator will remain central to operations, supporting entrepreneurs with prototyping labs, business resources and technical expertise.

“NDeavor is more than a new name, it’s a bold commitment to shaping the future of technology and national competitiveness from right here in North Dakota,” said David Cook, NDSU president and president of the NDeavor Board of Directors. “This is about harnessing the power of our research and our people to deliver solutions that matter.”

CEO Brenda Wyland said the vision is to unite private-sector leaders and researchers to accelerate breakthroughs in both defense and agriculture.

“By honoring Barry Batcheller’s legacy, we are also embracing the entrepreneurial spirit that defines this region,” she said.

NDeavor will remain at its current offices in Fargo.
