Pavek Hall renovations to be showcased at open house

NDSU’s newly renovated Pavek Hall is scheduled to host an open house on Friday, Aug. 8 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
During the open house, attendees will be able to take a short, guided tour to explore the refreshed community spaces, designed to enhance connection, comfort and student life.
Built in 1987, the suite-style residence hall underwent a full renovation, including a redesigned first floor featuring new study spaces, a welcoming community lounge and a centrally located laundry room.
The basement also has been fully transformed. It now offers a spacious kitchen and an open-concept community area with lounge seating, dedicated study spots, a large TV with gaming capabilities and recreational equipment.
Additional upgrades include central air with individual thermostats in each room, modernized elevators and updated in-room furniture such as moveable desks, chairs and wardrobes. Enhanced security features include card access to both the building and individual suites or rooms, and every floor now includes tech-enhanced study rooms for added convenience.
Rian Nostrum, director of Residence Life, said his team is looking forward to incoming students moving into Pavek Hall on Move-In Day, which is slated for Saturday, Aug. 24.
“We are excited to welcome students back to Pavek Hall. It has always been a favorite for students and now they will have improved community spaces and enhanced study rooms while maintaining all the amenities students have come to expect,” Nostrum said.
