Lisa Hauck has accepted the position as director of NDSU’s International Student and Study Abroad Services after an internal search process.

Hauck has been at NDSU since 2004, joining the Office of International Programs first as a study abroad advisor. She then was associate director, followed by being director of the office when it was a comprehensive office including study abroad, international recruitment and admission, faculty and student immigration, and international student support and programming.

She also has served as recruitment and international activities coordinator and then assistant dean for recruitment in the Graduate School and most recently as ISSAS associate director.

Hauck’s career also has included roles in international education as director at Bridgewater College and program manager and teacher at Shanghai University.

“Lisa has competently served NDSU in many ways since 2004,” said Laura Oster-Aaland, vice provost for student affairs and enrollment management. “I am excited to work with Lisa and the entire ISSAS team to advance the excellent the office does in serving international and study abroad students at NDSU.”

Hauck earned her bachelor’s degree at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, and her master’s degree in Chinese literature from The Ohio State University, Columbus.
