Emily Hoadley serves as the College Business Manager for the Academic Affairs Business Center at North Dakota State University (NDSU), bringing more than fifteen years of university experience and a strong background in accounting, budgeting, and financial administration.

Emily began her career at NDSU in August 2011 as an Office Assistant with the NDSU Library. In December 2012, she advanced to the role of Accounting Technician II, continuing to support the library’s financial operations. In January 2018, she was promoted to College Business Manager, overseeing business and financial functions for both the NDSU Library and the Office of the Provost. Following NDSU's financial reorganization in May 2023, her responsibilities expanded to include the Academic Affairs business unit.

In her current role, Emily works closely with more than twenty academic and administrative departments, providing leadership in budget management, financial reporting, payroll, and personnel administration. These areas include: Office of the Provost; Office of Teaching & Learning; Libraries, Honors College, Graduate School, Office of Institutional Research & Analysis, Registration & Records, Career & Advising, Enrollment Management, and Student Affairs & Institutional Equity. She works alongside college business managers from other units on campus to align strategic business functions and workflow processes.

Emily's contributions to the university extend beyond her primary role. She was selected to serve on NDSU's 2023 Financial Transformation Leadership Team and was an active member of the NDSU Staff Senate from Spring 2020 through Spring 2024.

A graduate of Pelican Rapids High School, Emily earned her accounting degree from Northwest Technical College. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to supporting the financial health and operational success of the university while helping departments navigate an increasingly complex financial environment.
