Areas of Study & Research

Fazle Rabbi is a graduate student in the History M.A. program at North Dakota State University, focusing on World History with an emphasis on Southeast Asian studies. His research examines the socio-economic history of the Rohingya during the British colonial period in Burma (Myanmar) and its wider socio-political implications in Southeast Asia.

Beyond his thesis, Fazle is actively involved in public history and archival projects. He has worked with the Braddock Letterhead Museum, Bonanzaville, and the NDSU Archives, gaining experience in collections processing, exhibit development, and community engagement.

At NDSU, Fazle also contributes to student life through leadership roles in the Bangladeshi Students Organization and the Graduate Student Council, where he helps organize cultural and academic events. His broader academic interests include colonial history, migration, and the role of museums in preserving community memory.
