Dr. Juncheng Lu is an assistant professor at the Department of Landscape Architecture, Disaster Resilience and Emergency Management (LADREM). He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from the University of Georgia. Additionally, he holds both master's and bachelor's degrees in landscape architecture. Before pursuing Ph.D., he gained professional experience as an assistant planner in China. His research focuses on landscape performance and performance-based ecological design, with a hydrologic emphasis on watershed processes, stream restoration, stormwater management, and green infrastructure. He integrates geospatial analytics, remote sensing, and hydrologic modeling to evaluate stormwater runoff, flooding dynamics, and the resilience of built and natural landscapes.
