Marc Wallman

Marc Wallman is Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at North Dakota State University. He leads the university's Information Technology Division, oversees the delivery of centralized technology services, advises university leadership on technology strategy, and works with campus stakeholders to advance teaching, research, and administrative priorities through the effective use of technology.

Prior to his current role, Marc served in several leadership positions at NDSU, including Assistant Vice President for Enterprise Computing & Infrastructure and Director of IT Infrastructure Services. Throughout his career, he has led major technology initiatives involving enterprise systems, cybersecurity, research computing, digital transformation, and institutional IT governance. His work has focused on strategic planning, organizational leadership, risk management, and building technology services that support the university's academic and research mission.

Marc is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences and has served on numerous higher education technology committees. He has been a member of the Internet2 InCommon Steering Committee and the Internet2 Network Architecture, Operations, and Policy Program Advisory Group (NAOPpag). He holds master's degrees in Computer Science from North Dakota State University and Philosophical Theology from Luther Seminary, as well as a bachelor's degree in Physics from Luther College.
