Marc Wallman is the Vice President for IT and CIO at NDSU. His responsibilities include managing the IT Division, coordinating the provision of centralized IT services, advising the university president, and working with campus leadership on IT-related issues.
Before his current role, Marc served in several positions at NDSU, such as Assistant Vice President for Enterprise Computing & Infrastructure and Director of IT Infrastructure Services. He managed various IT units, oversaw significant budgets, and represented the university in regional IT initiatives. His work involved project management, strategic planning, and improving campus-wide IT governance.
In addition to his professional roles, Marc is a regular speaker at national conferences and has served on various committees. Notably, he has been a member of the InCommon Steering Committee and the Internet2 Network Architecture, Operations, and Policy Program Advisory Group (NAOPpag). He holds master's degrees in Computer Science (NDSU) and philosophical theology (Luther Seminary) as well as a bachelor's degree in physics (Luther College).
