Shawn Stumphf

Dr. Stumphf has extensive professional education and experience that have led to numerous professional credentials in accounting and finance. Beyond these credentials, he has completed specialized training in mediation and arbitration procedures, real estate, and merger and acquisition advising. His professional experience is primarily focused on business valuation, forensic accounting, and economic damage analysis, including expert witness testimony in Federal and State courts. Dr. Stumphf has authored over one thousand consulting and expert reports for various purposes, covering a wide range of industries, and prepared for businesses as small as local sole proprietorships up to as large as multimillion-dollar international corporations.

Areas of Study & Research

Dr. Stumphf’s research interests are cross-disciplinary, but center around finance and accounting concepts that impact real-world decisions. Current research focus areas include private capital markets, investor reactions, fraud examination, and economic damage modeling.
