Shuvashis Dey

Dr. Shuvashis Dey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NDSU, where he leads the RF-Connect Lab. His research focuses on radio frequency (RF) and microwave engineering for wireless sensing and communication. His group develops antennas, RFID sensors, metasurfaces, and additively manufactured RF devices, combining electromagnetic modeling, material characterization, fabrication, experimental measurement, and artificial intelligence.

Dr. Dey joined NDSU in Fall 2021 following his postdoctoral research at Monash University, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. in Communication Technologies from Monash University and was a visiting researcher at the Auto-ID Labs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during his doctoral studies. At NDSU, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in electronics, applied electromagnetics, RF and microwave systems, and mentors students through research, laboratory training, and international collaborations.
