Day 2

30 Days of Sociolgy

Did You Know?

Before he created lightsabers and the Force, George Lucas was studying sociology. That means before Star Wars or American Graffiti, he was learning how culture works- how generations think, what they fear, what they dream about. That sociology background shows up everywhere in his films. American Graffiti isn't just cruising cars-it captures the uncertainty and restlessness of young people on the edge of a changing America. Lucas didn't just build worlds. He built social worlds- shaped by the anxieties and imagination of his generation.
