Welcome Week activities are vital to your transition to and success at NDSU. Because of this, all incoming students are required to attend Welcome Week events during the following times:
- Saturday, August 22: Small Group Meeting, NDSUConnect and Dinner (Afternoon/Evening)
- Sunday, August 23: Small Group Meeting and NDSUBelong (Late Morning/Afternoon)
- Monday, August 24: Meet Your Academic Community, Walking through the Gates, Welcome to the Academy, Classroom Tours, and Small Group Meeting (All Day)

Absences
If you need to request an absence for any of the required sessions listed above, please complete the Welcome Week Absence Form by August 15.
Approved absences for Welcome Week include:
- Caring for Dependents
- Military Training or Service
- Family Occasions (Wedding or Funeral)
Once the form is complete, we will communicate with you via your NDSU email.
Welcome Week Schedule
Events scheduled after Monday, August 24 are not required but are strongly encouraged to help you make connections. The full Welcome Week schedule will be available in August.
