Move-In Day Experience | 8 am - 1 pm

Move-in day isn’t just about getting your stuff unpacked, it’s a great day to explore campus and build your Bison Pride as a family. Please see the NDSU Residence Life website for move-in details and information, including available campus services.

Welcome Week Group Meeting #1, NDSUconnect, and Dinner | 3:30 pm - 7:45 pm
 - First-Year Required Events - 
Meet in your residence hall at 3:30 pm.  Commuter students meet in the Student Activities office of Memorial Union at 3:30 pm.
Get to know your Welcome Week group members, student and professional staff, and Welcome Week Group Leader by attending group meeting one, partaking in an interactive session facilitated by entrepreneur, national speaker, and author, Chad Littlefield, who will provide strategies for getting beyond small talk to having conversations that matter, and enjoy dinner in the NDSU Dining Centers.

Affinity group dinners are a chance for students with similar backgrounds and interests to connect. Any new first-year or transfer student who wishes to attend is welcome. Those without meal plans should stop by the Student Success Programs table by the West Dining Center entrance to pick up a free meal ticket.  Check out myNDSU to see which affinity groups are participating.

Green Bandana Project | 11 am - 12 pm

The purpose of The Green Bandana Project is to create a quiet sign of solidarity to unite NDSU against the stigmas that surround mental health while providing support to those struggling with anxiety or depression. By taking the pledge, attending a short training session and trying the green bandana to your backpack, you show that you are a safe individual for others to come to with mental health related issues. Attend the training and learn more on how you can support the community.

Farm Animal Fun | 1 pm - 3 pm
Shepperd Arena
NDSU has a rich tradition as an agricultural institution, and you have an opportunity to get to know the animals! There will be equine grooming, bottle feeding dairy calves, and looking at ultrasounds of pig and sheep. 

That's Topical | 7 pm - 8:30 pm
Oceti Sakowin Ballroom, Memorial Union
Think speed-dating, but with a twist. Separated into areas, you will have guided conversations around topics such as films, tv shows, video games, pop culture, history, and more. It’s a great way to meet people who have similar interests. Come as strangers and leave as friends, or at least a friendly face.

We’re all looking for safe ways to stay busy so why not help out our local attractions while you’re at it! The Adventure Passport is a program where visitors and locals alike can collect stamps at local attractions and businesses and receive a fun commemorative t-shirt as a prize once they’re complete. Print the passport attached and visit at least SIX of the locations and get your passport stamped at each. After collecting the stamps, redeem the passport for a free t-shirt at the Visitors Center (2001 44th St S, Fargo).

The Part-Time Jobs Fair is an annual Fall event that provides an excellent opportunity for students to connect with employers offering part-time, summer jobs, and/or internship opportunities. Positions are available both on and off-campus. This event is open to ALL majors. No registration is required but please bring your NDSU Student ID to check in at the event.
