Project Title: Development of Fe-Doped MOF and MOF–GAC Composite Materials for Arsenic Removal from Water

Project summary: Supported by the North Dakota Water Resources Research Institute (NDWRRI), this study develops advanced adsorbents for arsenic removal by combining UiO-66–based MOFs with granular activated carbon (GAC) and iron doping. Fe-doping introduces extra active sites to enhance affinity for As(III) and As(V), while GAC improves structural stability, mass transfer, and overall adsorption performance.
