Morning Session – H-2A Temporary Agricultural Worker Program

  • Opportunities through the H-2A program
  • Legal, financial, and ethical responsibilities
  • Housing, wages, and planning timelines

Afternoon Session – Farm Business Structures

  • Compare sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, and corporations
  • Liability protection, governance, taxes, and risk management
  • Reasons for formalizing a business structure and managing risk

Subsequent Webinars

March 3: Employee benefits, including bonuses, health insurance support, and legal considerations
March 10: Farm liability, insurance, and risk management strategies

Participants may attend any or all sessions depending on their needs.


About the Instructor

All sessions will be led by Rachel Armstrong of Farm Commons, a national nonprofit that translates complex farm law into practical guidance. Training emphasizes discussion, real-world examples, and Q&A, rather than long lectures or dense legal presentations.
