The commencement program uses the legal name of the student. This is done in accordance with directory information related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

This printed program, therefore, should not be used to determine a student’s academic or degree status. The university’s official registry for conferral of degrees is the student’s permanent academic record, maintained by the Office of Registration and Records.
