The Advertising and Design Club (AD Club) is an academic student organization that serves students interested in pursuing a career in the advertising industry. AD Club prepares students for careers in advertising and integrated marketing communications through participation in student competitions and other advertising related activities (alumni and professional speaker events, Addy Awards, shadow days, etc.). The NDSU AD Club is affiliated with the national and local chapters of the AAF (American Advertising Federation) and is in partnership with Visual Arts at NDSU.
AD Club's primary focus is creating a campaign for the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Students competing in NSAC create advertising campaigns for real clients using professional-grade tools and software. In the past AD Club has worked with national brands such as Indeed (2023), Meta Quest 2 (2022), and Tinder (2021). Our team won 3rd place at the district competition for the Meta Quest 2 Oculus campaign in 2022. This year (2024), AD Club students are working to create a campaign for Tide.
