Creating a Gallery
The steps to creating a gallery are really quite simple. From the Component Selector UI, choose the Gallery component.

Gallery Component UI
There are 5 primary fields and settings for the gallery component:
- Heading
- Content (aka preliminary text)
- Media
- Images
- Video
- Gallery Type
- Expand Gallery Item

Heading and Content
Enter a heading for the gallery and any preamble text you'd like to see precede the gallery images. The "Content" text can provide useful context for the reader.
Media
Click Add Media and then either upload new media items or select from the items that already appear below the upload box.
Please note that the tabs to the left of the Media uploader will give you the option to upload video, as well as images.
Gallery Type
Select a Slider Gallery or a Grid Gallery. Examples of each are outlined further below on this page.
Expand Gallery Item
Finally, choose whether to Expand items or disallow image/video expansion. Details follow.
Slider Galleries
Slider galleries can have as many images as you like added to the gallery. A general rule of thumb is to keep it a bit focused-- most users will not click through more than a dozen or so images.
Grid Galleries
Grid galleries are more appropriate for large collections as they allow the user to preview the images and click on what they deem to be important to them.
Expand Gallery Item
In both gallery types, you will see a selector for "Expand Gallery Item". If you enable this selector, this will trigger a hover state that shows an expander icon. When clicked, the image will expand to a large size in a modal overlay. The sample grid gallery above has this feature enabled.
