Content Types in Drupal
The following content types are available to editors in Drupal. Each is designed for a specific purpose, helping ensure your information is displayed consistently and effectively across the site. Choosing the right type makes it easier for your audience to find and engage with your content.
Announcement
Used to share timely messages across a group for a specific period of time. This may include important deadlines, updates or service outages.
Event
Informs the community of upcoming activities and invites participation.
News
For time-sensitive articles or updates that are relevant now. Example: a grant award, a faculty hire, or an event recap.
Page
For static, general-purpose content such as "About Us" or "Contact" pages. Pages typically have a consistent layout and require minimal updates.
Profile
Displays curated information about an individual, highlighting roles, achievements and contributions within the NDSU community.
Story
For evergreen content that remains relevant over time, often feature pieces. Example: student profiles, alumni success stories or research highlights.
