Mandatory Reading Material Overview

It is required that all students applying for an F-1 benefit or process understand all the "Mandatory Reading" provided.

So, we strongly suggest that you take adequate time to do soWe are at your disposal to clarify any questions.  However, it is the sole responsibility of the student to understand the process as well as the relevant regulations and their compliance at all timesMaintaining F-1 status is the sole responsibility of the student.  Not being aware of the regulations will never be an excuse for non-compliance.  F-1 rules are strictly regulated - and a violation of such rules, intentional or not, may result in the immediate termination of your SEVIS registration and F-1 status with the consequent obligation to leave the US immediately.  Therefore, our occasional intervention to clarify any doubts cannot replace, in any way, the student complying with reading and fully understanding all the mandatory material.  Due to the enormous importance of all this information, you may receive it on more than one occasion, and it will be reiterated occasionally even if you have already read it.  It could contain updated information.  You are expected to review it from time to time to make sure you are aware of any changes.  As your Designated School Officials, it is our responsibility to provide these reminders to you, so that you can fully comply with this requirement, and giving you a fair opportunity to receive such information in a timely manner.
