We’re partnering with the University Design Institute (UDI), a global leader in higher education transformation, to guide a process built to move from ideas to implementation. Working with UDI gives us a proven approach and an outside perspective, while the decisions, and the direction, stay firmly in NDSU’s hands. The work unfolds in two phases.
Imagine Phase — listening and learning
Beginning in August, the Imagine Phase is about listening and learning. We'll gather insights from students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, employers, industry partners, community leaders and North Dakotans, and host Discovery sessions that invite the NDSU community to think creatively about our future: how we teach and learn, how we engage with partners, and how we grow our research and impact. The goal is to surface the themes and ideas that matter most, so the strategy reflects what we hear.
Design Phase — turning ideas into action
Next, the Design Phase turns those ideas into action. We’ll take the themes from the Imagine Phase and shape them into clear priorities, implementation plans and transformation roadmaps: the tools that guide our efforts and help us move from vision to measurable progress.
