Lab Testing

A Medical Laboratory is available to perform lab tests in Student Health Service (SHS). The lab is a moderately complex CLIA certified laboratory. All lab testing must be ordered by a medical provider. Students can schedule an appointment with a SHS provider who can place lab orders if deemed necessary for a patient's care. Lab orders from external facilities are accepted as long as a copy of the lab order is provided.

Lab testing is performed for diagnostic purposes on samples including:

• blood
• urine
• stool
• throat
• nasal swabs, etc.
