Sending High School Transcripts

1. Contact your high school to ask them to send your official transcript to the NDSU Admission Office
2. Make sure it's official - your school counselor, principal or someone from the school must send your transcript for it to be considered official
3. Your high school transcript can be mailed or sent electronically (Parchment, Scoir, NDetranscript, or emailed to ndsu.apply@ndsu.edu)

Transcripts received from students will not be accepted.

Tip: If you have graduated and are having your final high school transcript sent, make sure it includes all final grades and your graduation date

Sending College Transcripts

Official college transcripts should be requested for all colleges/universities where you have attempted credit, even if credit was not earned.

1. In an internet browser, search "College Name official transcripts" (i.e. Central Lakes official transcripts)
2. Look for search results similar to "Request a Transcript". Follow website instructions for requesting an official college transcript
   NOTE: Most colleges require a fee for an official transcript
3. Make sure it's official - Personal or unofficial copies of transcripts will not be accepted.
4. Your transcript can be mailed or sent electronically through a transcript service (Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse)

Emailed or unofficial or personal copies of college transcripts will not be accepted.

Tip: If sending through a transcript service such as Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse, select NDSU Undergraduate Admissions as the receiving office.

Other Notes:

• NDUS Schools: Transcripts for North Dakota University System (NDUS) institutions do not need to be requested. NDSU will retrieve those transcripts provided there are no holds that prevent the release of it.
• PSEO / CIS / Dual Credit: Students enrolled in Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) / College In the Schools (CIS) / Dual Credit coursework must have college transcripts sent even if credits show up on the high school transcript. High school transcripts will not be used for college coursework.
