Basic Courses

During the first two years of the ROTC program, you can take the classes without any obligation to the military. These first two years will provide you with the essential knowledge about the Army and its operations. It is designed to provide you with a foundation for your leadership skills and abilities.

If you have already completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, you may not be required to take these courses or training.

Basic Courses

Advanced Courses

These final two years in ROTC will build on what you have learned in the Basic Course. You will be in charge of leading and training cadets through all training, while learning about military tactics and operations. At this point, you will have had to make an obligation to join the Army and commission as an Officer, which is required for everyone, regardless of prior service.

Advanced Courses

Advanced Camp

The summer between your Junior and Senior year, you will be sent to Fort Knox, Kentucky, for Advanced Camp. This 29-day course will allow you to demonstrate your leadership abilities with other Cadets from across the country.

Basic Officer Leadership Course

After you graduate and receive your commission, you will be sent to BOLC. The locations, durations, and topics vary depending on your branch. This course will enhance your leadership skills and understand the technical aspects of your branch.

Report to Unit

At this point, you will be able to report to your new unit as a brand new and fully prepared 2nd Lieutenant, ready and capable of leading and training your newly assigned Soldiers.
