Number of program graduates from previous academic years (2018-2025)

During the 2024-2025 academic year, 14 master’s degree students graduated (13 in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, and 1 in the dual track). During the 2023-2024 academic year, 13 master’s degree students graduated (9 in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, 3 in the School Counseling program, & 1 in the dual track). During the 2022-2023 academic year, 15 master’s degree students graduated (10 in the Clinical Mental Health counseling program and 5 in the School Counseling program). During the 2021-2022 academic year, 14 master’s degree students graduated (12 graduates in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, 1 graduate in the School Counseling program, and 1 graduate in the dual track). During the 2020-2021 academic year, 18 master’s degree students graduated (8 graduates in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, 5 graduates in the School Counseling program, and 5 graduates in the dual track). During the 2019-2020 academic year, 8 master’s degree students graduated (6 graduates in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, 1 graduate in the School Counseling program, and 1 graduate in the dual track). During the 2018-2019 academic year, 21 master’s degree students graduated (14 graduates in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and 7 graduates in the School Counseling program).

During the 2024-2025 academic year, 4 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2023-2024 academic year, 2 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2022-2023 academic year, 2 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2021-2022 academic year, 2 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2020-2021 academic year, 6 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2019-2020 academic year, 2 Ph.D. students graduated. During the 2018-2019 academic year, 1 Ph.D. students graduated.

Completion rate

Regarding the completion rate of the master’s degree cohort who graduated during the 2024-2025 academic year, 100% of Clinical Mental Health Counseling students and 100% of the dual track students completed their program within the expected time period. There were no School Counseling students who completed their master’s degree in this cohort. The average completion rate for Ph.D. students was 100%.

Job placement rate

Master’s graduates from 2024-2025 who were seeking full-time employment have a 100% job placement rate (for Clinical Mental Health Counseling and dual tracks). There were no School Counseling graduates seeking employment in 2024-2025. In 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, the job placement rates were 100% for the clinical mental health counseling and school counseling tracks.

The 2024-2025 job placement rate for the Counselor Education and Supervision doctoral program graduates is 100%. In 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, the job placement rates were also 100%.

Licensure or certification examination pass rate

During the 2024-2025 academic year, 100% of clinical mental health counseling and dual track students passed the CPCE. During the 2024-2025 academic year, 100% of clinical mental health counseling students who took the NCE passed. In 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2023-2024, the pass rates were 100%.

School counseling program graduates who seek to become credentialed in North Dakota are not required to pass the NCE. In 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024, school counseling graduate students who took the Praxis II: Professional School Counselor exam had a 100% pass rate.
