The Advisory Board provides counsel to the director on strategic planning, fundraising and the center's long-term vision.

Ron Bergan

Ron Bergan was born and raised in Dunn County, ND. Mr. Bergan received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1965 and Masters of Science in 1966 in Agricultural Economics from NDSU. While at NDSU he met and married Mary Alice Berg. Following graduation, Ron worked in the NDSU Agricultural Economics Department for a year before pursuing other ventures. Read more.

 

Connie Nicholas

Connie (Lee) Nicholas graduated from Dodge, ND High School in 1966 and received a degree in Home Economics Education from NDSU in 1970. She and Eugene (Gene) Nicholas were married in 1969 and moved to Cando, ND following graduation. Connie taught school in the Cando School system for a short time. Gene and Connie are the third generation to operate the family farm in Towner County. Read more.

 

Ronald D. Offutt

Ronald Offutt is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of R.D. Offutt Company, a family owned and operated business, and the Founder of RDO Equipment Co. Ron attended Moorhead High School and graduated from Concordia College in 1964 with a degree in Economics. Ron is active in the community and serves on multiple boards and dedicates his time to several organizations and charities. Steve D. Scheel

Steve Scheel was born and raised in Fargo, and graduated from Fargo Central High School and St. Olaf College with degrees in U.S. history, economics and political science. Steve joined Scheels in 1972 and managed Scheels stores in Fargo, Casselton, Moorhead, and Sioux Falls before taking over as President, CEO, and Chairman in 1989. Steve Stenehjem

Steve Stenehjem is the Chairman of Watford City Bancshares, Inc. and CEO of First International Bank & Trust, a $2.5 billion dollar multi state banking company with twenty-seven offices located in North Dakota, Minnesota and Arizona. Steve graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Economics in 1977 from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Read more.

 

Thomas C. Wold

Thomas C. Wold graduated from Shanley High School in Fargo and from the University of North Dakota, undergraduate as well as law school. He practiced law at Wold Johnson, P.C. He has co-developed hotels, restaurants, retail, office, apartments, condos and the City of Briarwood. Read more.
