To Participate in Commencement

To be eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony, students must pass their final defense. If the program does not require a defense, students must be registered for their final degree requirements.

Students who complete graduation requirements during the summer are eligible to participate in either May or December commencement ceremonies within the calendar year of their graduation. To participate in the May commencement exercises, student must be registered in the remaining graduation requirements for the summer session of the same year.

*The Request to Schedule form must be submitted two weeks prior to the final defense. For example, if you plan to defend on May 3, you must submit your request form by April 19.
