Our extracurricular activities and student organizations offer the chance to bounce ideas off peers and colleagues, to gain valuable experience in the field, and to build a network of professional contacts.

Student Newsletters
COMM 425 is a required course for students majoring in strategic communication. In this course, students learn to communicate effectively in a variety of genres used by advertising and public relations professionals. Genres covered in the course include: pitch letters, press releases, memos, social media postings, and newsletters. Each semester students produce a department newsletter, highlighting news and events that have happened over the last six months.
