Program Information

The Master of Science in Advanced Athletic Training is a post-professional degree consisting of 34 credits. The student will take coursework in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound, Evidence Based Therapeutic Modalities, Advanced Emergency Care, Evidence Based Orthopedic Evaluation, Kinesio Tape® and Manual Therapies.  The following are certifications and training students will obtain:  CKTP (Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner®) certification,  Musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound for the shoulder, knee and ankle; Advanced Emergency Care including airway management, IVs, and 12-lead EKGs; Greenman's Principles of Manual Therapy, and inserting thermocouple techniques.

In addition, all students in the MS in Advanced AT program are required to complete a thesis.  The thesis topic MUST be in one of the MS AT faculty research areas.
