Matthew Vettel
In 1999, Matt helped launch Great Hill Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm. He leads investments in Fintech, Healthcare, and Software companies globally. Matt's career began with a BS in Industrial Engineering from NDSU and early work as a software developer. At Great Hill Partners, the firm invests in high-growth companies, aiming to make them strategically important within their sectors.
As an owner, Matt is part of the Executive Committee, overseeing investment policy, investor relations, fundraising, strategy, and general management. He also serves on the Investment Committee, which approves all investments.
Before Great Hill Partners, Matt was an associate at GTCR Golder Rauner, a Chicago-based investment firm. He also worked as a Senior Associate at Accenture and co-founded PureSpeech, Inc., a speech recognition software company acquired by Voice Control Systems.
Matt served as Chairman of the MATCH School Foundation for 25 years, helping inner-city Boston students succeed in college. His family established the Alzheimer’s Innovation Fund with Brigham and Women’s Hospital and are registered foster care providers in Massachusetts.
