2026 State Arbor Day - Grand Forks

Celebrate 50 years of the Tree City USA Program

Arbor Day is recognized nationally for one week in May. Join us in Grand Forks, one of North Dakota's two Tree Cities that have been around since the inception of the program. This vibrant community has an average of 1,000 new trees planted by the Park District each year. Come join in the fun and celebrate our area’s lovely green diversity in our annual Arbor Day event, held in conjunction with the East Grand Forks Parks and Recreation department.

This year's event will take place at the Sertoma Park Arboretum, with a tree planting to expand their edible forest.
